Writing poetry: Mini-lesson sequence (Grade 4)

Coming soon. This planned resource will help learners in grade 4 make purposeful choices about images, sound, and line breaks with original, editable materials and separate teacher guidance.

The planned content covers original models, noticing, experimenting, drafting, sharing option.

How it will work

1. Five teacher scripts: model, guided attempt, independent response, feedback.
2. Five matched student pages with 4 responses each.
3. Cumulative retrieval and a transfer task in lesson five.

A separate teacher companion is planned with prerequisites, teaching guidance, answers or worked examples, and support options.
